The Perseverance Scholarship Fund would assist a victim of domestic violence who is actively enrolled in a Human Movement Program. This is a step toward increasing their learning, real world skills, and opportunities thereby promoting self-dependency and self-efficacy. It not only provides some monetary assistance but also requires a recipient to earn the award by shadowing and learning in a hands-on real world, real people environment.

Victims of Domestic Violence often stay in an abusive situation for several reasons. Among them is the fact that they do not have the means to support themselves or their children long-term. The despair and lack of hope causes victims to lose their lives or live in sheer terror whether they stay or leave the situation. I know, I was that person. The difference, despite all those who told me I could never leave, I somehow found the will and fight to physically leave. That was the easy part. Persevering through all that I went through and still landing here, with my studio, my education, and health... that's Perseverance!
